Itinerary
Day 1 – Marrakech to Ouled Driss
Your adventure begins with an early departure from Marrakech as you cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Travel through Ouarzazate and the beautiful Draa Valley before arriving in the peaceful oasis village of Oulad Driss. Settle into a traditional desert camp, enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, and spend the evening around the campfire with local music beneath the stars.
Day 2 – Oulad Driss to Erg Lihoudi
After meeting your local desert guide and camel team, begin your trek through the palm oasis before entering the vast Hamada stone desert. As the landscape gradually transforms into rolling golden dunes, you’ll arrive at the spectacular Erg Lihoudi. Climb the dunes to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunset before enjoying dinner and an unforgettable night in a secluded wild desert camp.
Day 3 – Erg Lihoudi to Ouarzazate
Wake early to admire the sunrise over the Sahara before completing a short morning trek back to the main road. Continue your journey north through the scenic Draa Valley, stopping along the way before arriving in Ouarzazate. Relax in a traditional hotel or riad and enjoy the evening exploring the peaceful surroundings.
Day 4 – Ounila Valley, Telouet Kasbah & Marrakech
Begin the day with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou before following the breathtaking Ounila Valley, famous for its dramatic red-rock landscapes and ancient fortresses. Continue to the historic Telouet Kasbah to admire its beautifully preserved Moroccan architecture before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again on your return to Marrakech.
